Golf Santa Ponsa 1

This golf course is located in the resort of Santa Ponsa, one of the island’s most exclusive residential areas. During the 90s Golf Santa Ponsa I hosted the European Tour championships six times, with winners of the calibre of Ballesteros (1988, 1990, and 1992) or M. Angel Jiménez (1996). It is a long course with wide, flat fairways where players will enjoy when they hit their driver shots. Its greens are true and well maintained, without steep slopes and enjoyable to putt on.

Golf Santa Ponsa I combines long holes with more achievable ones. The greens are medium-large and are not excessively protected. The putts are pretty easy, they lack elevations and undulations. There quite a few water hazards though. This is a golf course that all levels can enjoy. As a curiosity, we would like to mention that HRH Princess Birgitta of Sweden is a member of honour and ambassador of the club. Every year, since 20 years back, a tournament is held in her name at the club.
