Alcanada golf course Where land and sea meet
This golf course located in the north of the island, inaugurated in 2003, is one of the most famous ones in Mallorca. So why is this?
Well, who wouldn´t want to play in a golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr and which offers spectacular sea views from 14 of its 18 holes. And once you have finished playing, you can continue to enjoy these views from the club´s pleasant terrace whilst sipping on a well-deserved cold drink.
Alcanada Golf is one of the island´s most well maintained courses, always in mint condition because of the greenkeeper’s meticulous work.
Check out our detailed information page about the course as well as the video
The golf course faces one of Mallorca´s most spectacular bays: the Bay of Alcudia. After you have played golf why not go for a swim at one of the nearby beaches or just go for a stroll in the harbour. You could also visit the town of Alcudia and the medieval wall that surrounds it. If you are interested in archaeology, a visit to the ruins of the ancient Roman town of Pollentia is also highly recommended.
To round off the day, and if you fancy some fine dining, you could have dinner at the Jardin restaurant awarded with a Guide Michelin star. This innovative restaurant is known for mixing traditional and avant-garde cuisine and using typical Majorcan ingredients/food products.
If you prefer dining in a more informal setting, you can choose its terrace and the Bistró del Jardín which is part of the same family run restaurant complex. This pleasant establishment, managed and owned by Chef Macarena de Castro, offers traditional Mediterranean dishes.
